The Pig in the Forest is an elegant 18th century country house hotel set within secluded grounds near Brockenhurst, in the heart of the New Forest. The hotel has an animated history, from its origins as a Royal Hunting Lodge to a home to titled gentry.

In 2010, PWP was tasked with the renovation, extension, and alteration of the former Whitley Ridge Hotel by renowned hotelier Robin Hutson, which completed in August 2011 following a fast-track programme to reopen at the earliest opportunity.

The Pig features a new garden wing extension housing a new bar, private dining room and dining conservatory. Internally the hotel has undergone a complete redesign providing 26 simple but luxurious bedrooms which are both well-proportioned and well-equipped, located in both the main hotel and stable yard conversion. The interior design was carried out by Judy Hutson with PWP providing the essential canvas to paint.

Since PWP was initially involved in the hotel, we have been tasked with converting the nearby existing staff lodge into further guest accommodation and extending the existing lounge space, through the use of a timber conservatory to limit its impact on the existing building.
